Many People have talked to me about sleep.  As you know, getting adequate sleep is an absolute necessity since your body releases a lot of toxins and has a chance to recharge during your resting time.  Getting good quality sleep also helps your immune system be strong so you are able to stay healthy and lively.

Some people have trouble falling asleep or they may wake up during the night and find it hard to get back to sleep.  Others sleep through most of the night but are wide awake way too early in the morning.  There are many things that can cause these kinds of disruptions.

  1. Sage every part of your home.  This helps to clean out incongruent energies.  You can say a prayer or call forth for the kind of energy you desire to have in your home while you are sageing.
  2. Don’t eat during the 3 – 4 hours before sleeping since the food you eat can cause a spike in your blood sugar and then a blood sugar drop, also known as reactive hypoglycemia.
  3. Don’t watch TV or a movie during the 3 hours before bedtime, especially if it’s a thriller. Watching such shows can release hormones that can interrupt your sleep.
  4. Do a meditation before going to sleep.
  5. Say “Take Me beyond Where It Is That My Mind Knows to Go.” This can help you bypass the everyday chatter of the mind and move to a more peaceful place with your thoughts.
  6. Observe what is going on in your mind while you are lying in bed waiting for sleep. Perhaps you need to address some issue in your life.
